【摘要】:ThisStandardspecifiestheinspectionprocedure,inspectioncriteria,classi-fication,etc.fordetectingthelocalizedoverheatingongroundgearsurfacesbychemi-caietching.TheetchinspectionaccordingtothisStandardismoresensitivetothesurfacehard-nesschangethanmosthardnesstests.Therefore,forthedetectionofsurfacetemperaftergrinding,theinspectionmethodinthisStandardshouldbeused.AlthoughthisStandardappliestosteelgears,itmayalsoapplytosteelpartssuchasshafts,splines,bearings,butisnotapplicabletonitridedpartsandstainlesssteels.Thisetchinspectionshallbeperformedaftergrindingandbeforeadditionalfinishingoperations.NOTESIInthisStandard,thisinspectioniscalled"nitaletch"andshouldnotbeconfusedwiththeconventionaletchmethodsgenerallyusedtoob-servemetallographicstructure.TheInternationalStandardcorrespondingtothisStandardisasfol-lows.Inaddition,symbolswhichdenotethedegreeofcorrespondenceinthecontentsbetweentherelevantInternationalStandardandJISareIDT(identical),MOD(modified),andNEQ(notequivalent)accordingtoISOfIECGuide21.ISO14104:1995Gears-Surfacetemperetchinspectionaftergrind-ing(MOD)
